Arnberger Comes Away With Two Ribbons at Prestigious International Wildfowl Carving Show
in San Diego, California

Night HuntersLeaning into the WindRob Arnberger entered carvings at the prestigous "37th California Open 2010" in San Diego, California on February 13th and 14th. Held annually, it is one of eleven shows sanctioned by the International Wildlife Carver Association. The judged show gives out $26,000 in awards using IWCA rules and competition levels.

Both carvings were entered in the Intermediate Level Decorative Non-Floating Category. Judges for the category were Doug Miller, Cam Merkle and Bob Berry—all internationally famous carvers and judges.

Night Hunters - A realistically carved Elf Owl and its prey, a large desert centipede, won First Place in the Raptor category. It also won Third Best of Show for the entire Decorative Non-Floating Intermediate Class.

Leaning into the Wind - A realistically carved American Kestrel, won Second Place in the Raptor Category.
